The Peper Jam this week will be hosted by The Passengers.
Gathering together musicians from all around the world (Spain, New Zealand, Portugal, Italy and France), The Passengers combines various elements of jazz music by merging tradition with a more contemporary aesthetic. The band members joined the Conservatorium van Amsterdam last September, currently attending the Jazz Master Program. Mixing each of their personal background and musical tastes, drawing from genres such as non-Western, classical and world music, they use their multicultural aspect to meet on a common material and establish a meeting point, thus creating their own original style.
Lucas Martínez Membrilla: tenor sax;
Ashton Sellars: guitar;
Benjamin Thiébault: piano;
Giuseppe Campisi: double bass;
Aarón Castrillo: drums.
The Peper session takes place in Overtoom 301, who also provide great food and beer for cheap prizes.
Come hang!
