Établi successivement à Paris, Bruxelles puis Philadelphie, le batteur et compositeur AUREL VIOLAS réside à présent à Amsterdam et évolue au coeur d’un réseau de musiciens originaires de toute l’Europe. Le répertoire de son trio se compose aussi bien de petites curiosités rythmiques stimulant l’imaginaire visuel, que de simples mélodies, apaisées et empreintes de nostalgie. Le résultat est un jazz vivant et organique, faisant la part belle à l’inventivité.
